After graduating high school, Steve attended Tennessee Temple University unsure of what career God was leading him to. It was late in his sophomore year that he obeyed God’s calling into full-time ministry. In 2002, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Bible with a concentration in Youth Ministries. It was that same year that he and his wife, Lisa, married and he began to work as the Assistant Pastor and Youth Pastor of Old Time Baptist Church in Conneaut, OH. While part of the ministry, he was able to lead in the music ministry, teach in the local prison ministry, and direct the youth ministry. In 2014, God led Steve and his family to Grace Baptist Church where he has been the Youth Pastor as well as the Jr High and High School Bible Teacher at GBCS. Steve’s goal in teaching is that each student will come away with “knowing what he believes and why he believes it”. He counts God’s calling into the ministry for his life and family a great blessing. Besides his enjoyment in teaching the Bible and spending time with his family, he seeks every free opportunity to participate in his true hobby – any athletic sport.
